The 4th Annual SDMO Rally in Wytheville, Va! This event is held at The Wytheville Community College (Rear Lot) 6pm-8pm This event is focused on spreading awareness of the SlowDown MoveOver Law, and who that law covers. The harder we work to educate the motoring public, the safer our jobs can be! This event is an opportunity for ALL of us to work together and help educate our community. Our jobs are dangerous enough as is, this is one common struggle we all face! Thank You to everyone that has participated in the past! Hopefully you can join us again this year! PLEASE feel free to pass this invite on to your peers or friends in the Roadside Industry!
- Trucks on display for the kids to check out. (Similar to a Touch A Truck Event).
- Flyers to hand out with statistics and info about deaths/injuries in working roadside.
- Feel free to bring “goodies” to hand out to the kids.
- Trucks must be at WCC by 5:30pm
- Please have trucks clean!
- Food Truck vendor will be on hand this year. TBD
- Extrication Demos by local Fire Departments.
- Mock Construction Zone Display
- WINGS Air Ambulance TBD
- Photo Shoot with “Road Barrel Monster”
- Coloring stations for the kids. (Print out blank outlines of fire, tow, ambulance, anything, set up table and throw out a few packs of crayons!).
- Please help us be more entertaining to the public, set up your own games or activities!
- Please bring your own trash can, to set out, and help us keep WCC campus beautiful!
